What’s the difference between this and a headshot session?
Headshots are clean, professional, and built for a specific purpose… LinkedIn, your website, corporate use. Editorial sessions are about mood, story, and artistic expression. Think album covers, magazine spreads, or content that makes people stop scrolling. If you want polished and professional, book a headshot. If you want something with more edge and personality, this is your session.
Where do we shoot?
Wherever you feel most like yourself. I work exclusively on-location… no studio, no sterile backdrops. Urban environments are my wheelhouse, but we’ll pick a spot that fits your vibe: downtown streets, rooftops, nature, your apartment, wherever makes sense for your story.
I’m awkward in front of the camera. Will that be a problem?
Not at all. I don’t pose people in the traditional sense… think of me more like a director than a photographer. Your natural body language is the most powerful tool for creating authentic images. We’ll have a conversation, you’ll relax, and I’ll capture the real moments. If something’s not working, I’ll gently guide you. But most of the time, you won’t even realize I’m shooting.
Do I need to have a concept or vision ready?
Nope. That’s my job. You bring yourself… I bring the creative direction. The vision comes alive during the shoot as we talk and respond to the environment. If you do have ideas or references, I’m happy to incorporate them. But you don’t need to show up with a mood board.
How long until I get my photos?
For Portrait and Editorial sessions, expect your gallery within 7-10 days. Visual Story sessions may take up to two weeks due to the larger image count and detailed editing. Rush delivery is available if you have a deadline.
