Booking
To reserve your photography session, please contact SWLA Photo through our website or by email at dalton@swlaphoto.com. Bookings are subject to photographer availability and are not confirmed until you receive written confirmation.
A signed agreement and a non-refundable retainer fee is required to secure your date. Full details will be provided in your service agreement or contract.
Image License, Copyright, & Usage
Upon full payment, clients are granted a license to use the delivered photographs for personal, non-commercial purposes only. All images remain the exclusive property of the photographer and are protected by copyright law.
Clients are not permitted to alter, edit, or apply filters to the photographs in any way. This policy is in place to protect the photographer’s reputation and artistic style. If you would like a different edit or style applied to any photograph, you may request this as an additional service; such requests are considered at the photographer’s discretion (with consideration to reputation and style) and may incur additional costs per image.
Violation of this policy, as detailed in your contract, will result in immediate forfeiture of your license to use the images, and legal action may be pursued.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please notify us as soon as possible at dalton@swlaphoto.com.
- Cancellations:
All retainers are non-refundable and will be forfeited in the event of any cancellation, regardless of when the cancellation occurs. - Rescheduling:
You may reschedule your session without forfeiting your retainer. However, rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur an additional fee equal to 20% of the total original agreed-upon price. This fee must be paid prior to the new session date. All rescheduling is subject to availability.

No-Shows
Clients who do not attend their scheduled session and fail to provide prior notice will forfeit their retainer. In most cases, if you no-show without calling or contacting us, it is unlikely that rescheduling will be offered. However, if rescheduling is permitted, a new retainer fee will be required to secure a new date.
Weather & Emergencies
If a session must be postponed due to severe weather or an emergency, SWLA Photo will make every effort to reschedule your session at no additional charge. Please note that the determination of what constitutes a weather emergency is at the sole discretion of the photographer. This policy helps ensure rescheduling is reserved for truly unavoidable conditions and prevents misuse of weather as a reason to avoid applicable fees.
Photographer Cancellations
In the unlikely event that SWLA Photo must cancel a session due to illness or emergency, all fees and retainers paid will be refunded in full or the session will be rescheduled at your convenience. Any refunds issued for photographer cancellations are strictly limited to the total amount already paid for services.
